Senior Care
Report
Our focus is to improve the quality of life of senior pets, and the lives of the people who love them so much!
Senior pets should have semi-annual veterinary visits instead of annual visits so signs of illness or other problems can be detected early and treated.
Senior pet exams are similar to those for younger pets, but are more in depth, and may include dental care, possible bloodwork, and specific checks for physical signs of diseases that are more likely in older pets.
A proper diet is very important for your senior pets.
Avian & Exotic Pet Care
Report
At our hospital, veterinary care is provided to determine if birds or exotic pets have any potentially dangerous parasites or diseases and, if so, how they can best be treated.
We are committed to providing avian and exotic pets with the same high quality care that we do dogs and cats.
Birds are well known for being slow to exhibit signs of disease, and for this reason it is recommended that birds be taken to see your veterinarian at least twice each year.
Wellness exams, routine nail/wings/beak trims, nutrition and behavior consultations, diagnostic testing including bloodwork and x-rays are also available at our hospital.
Preventative Care
Report
Parasite prevention is essential for any pet!
Ticks are serious in our area and are just one of the reasons we recommend parasite prevention all year round.
As for other parasites, fleas, heartworms, and intestinal parasites also present in our area, we offer a range of parasite preventatives.
We offer preventatives both in hospital and on our online pharmacy.
We now offer ProHeart 12, the only FDA approved preventative injection that protects dogs against Heartworm for a FULL YEAR!
ProHeart 12 is an injection of preventative medicine that is given to your dog based on their weight.
