Harmany Equine Clinic, Ltd has been open since 1990, bringing holistic healing to horses from all walks of life, backyard retirees to Olympic competitors. Over the years Dr. Joyce Harman has observed and adapted to the changing needs of our horses and clients. Twenty-plus years ago, no one had heard of Lyme disease or Insulin Resistance, yet today that makes up a large part of my clinical practice.

Since most of my horse clients also have small animal companions, I have added small animal services at my barn.
Services
Horses are made to graze 20 hours a day, and rest only 4 hours.
However, in our modern rich pastures, horses and ponies can easily become obese with only a few hours of grazing per day.
Laminitis (or founder, where the feet become severely inflamed, often leading to permanent lameness or even death).
Dr. Joyce Harman graduated from Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984 with an interest in acupuncture and alternative medicine.
She went to England, Ireland to study equine exercise physiology and sports medicine, always looking for a better, safer way to treat and train horses.
Dr. Harman is a well-known holistic equine veterinarian with over 30 years in practice.
Wendy and Joyce chat about how they met, what holistic medicine is and how it can help your horse.
Topics include Harmany Muzzles, SURE FOOT Equine Pads, laminitis and other equine conditions as well as saddle fit.
A holistic approach to support your horse's immune system.
Dr. Harman has a wealth of information to share with horse owners that is why she started the Good Healtmanship Series.
