Dr. Darby attended Cambridge University School of Veterinary Medicine, where he graduated with honors in 1991.
In 1992 he moved to Long Island, NY where he worked at various small animal hospitals until 2003 when he passed the ABVP boards and became a board-certified specialist in avian medicine.
Dr. Darby is one of the few worldwide veterinarians that has this title and advanced knowledge of avian (bird) medicine.
Dr. Darby then worked as head of avian and exotic animal medicine at The Center for Specialized Veterinary Care on Long Island for a short period of time before moving to Seneca Falls and purchasing Seneca Falls Veterinary Hospital in 2006.
